March in a Nut Shell

What started as a bad month ended with great memories and wonderful experiences! We could dwell on the negatives but instead we choose to focus on the positive and learn from every moment we lived through.

March 1st we left Quartzsite and headed to Congress which is a 93 mile drive. Just as we were thinking everything was going to be OK with the truck our worst fears happened yet again! As we entered a sleepy town called Salome the battery light came on and the truck lost power. Long story short the truck had to be towed to Wickenburg to get fixed.  Nothing more embarrassing then checking into the RV park while being towed. We hoped and prayed this would be the last incident for a long while.

The first two weeks of March we flew to Michigan. This was a much needed distraction from the reality that would still be in Arizona when we got back. We got to play "Aunt" and "Uncle" to the three Dickson girls.. The twins are Three and their sister is Four. Man did we forget what it was like with little ones. You get all the different emotions but the best part were the snuggles we got from all the girls! We can't wait to see the Dickson Family again!

Back in Arizona the truck was fixed and every time we took it for a drive we had anxieties about it breaking down. What a horrible feeling that was!
A week after we got the truck back we went back to the Dealership where is was fixed to "look" at the motor home they had. Well in case you didn't see the post on Facebook I will share this with you now! We traded the truck and trailer in for a Fleetwood PaceArrow Motor home. It was the perfect deal and I believe God had this all planned out it was why we broke down. Had the truck not needed more work Ben wouldn't have looked at the dealership website and noticed they sold Motor homes. Things happen for a reason and our travel plans had delays because we were going to be blessed with something greater then we had expected!

So let me tell you about North Ranch. This is the RV Park we stayed at and it is run by the RV club (Escapees) we belong to.  When we first got there it was "La Fiesta" days. They had a huge bonfire and everyone sat around or roasted hot dogs. They had an ATV Rodeo, a parade and a few other activities.  Many of the members are full time RVers so it was neat to hear where their next place was going to be. We were one of the youngest couples there.

The last week we were there we attended the "Bead Retreat". Benny was the only guy among70 or so women.  We learned a lot that week and had no idea the amount of crafts that can be done with beads and wire. We made some beautiful pendants called "Tree of Life". We wrapped wire and added beads to create a tree. We also made some bracelets using the Kumihimo method on a foam disk. Ben is going to try his hand at polymer clay.  When we made our cactus magnets out of polymer clay we felt like kids playing with play dough! We met so many nice people and at the end of the week it was sad to say goodbye . We are definitely going to try and make it back next year.

Arizona was good to us even if it felt like it was trying to keep us stuck in the desert. Now with the new Rig we can feel more at ease when driving. Now all we need is a tow vehicle. Anyone want to donate one to us? HAHAHA We can't wait to see where our travels take us next. Stay tuned! A new experience is on the horizon!

Thanks to those who take the time to read my babble. Maybe its just one person! I thank you!
